Race 33 of 33: NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship
Track Specs: Phoenix Raceway
Race Winner: Daniel Hemric
Weatherman’s Finish: 26th
The #47 DaaBINS Chevrolet Camaro team took the long journey to Phoenix for Championship weekend. After some disappointment due to brake issues, the DaaBINS team rolled into Phoenix with the goal to finish the 2021 season strong.
Stage One Finish: 23rd
Weatherman would take the green flag with the plan of running a clean calculated race. Weatherman would drop back as far as 32nd on the initial start. Weatherman would be patient and let the other cars come to him. With a caution-free first stage Weatherman was able to bring home a 23rd place first stage finish.
Stage Two Finish: 25th
After an uneventful first stage, the second stage would be a little more dicey. Weatherman would restart 31st. Just a few laps after the restart Joe Graff Jr would get into the back of Jeffery Earnhardt turning him into the outside wall where Weatherman was running. Earnhardt would strike the left rear of Weatherman’s DaaBIN Store Chevrolet Camaro. Weatherman was able to continue on with minimal damage and drove the #47 DaaBINS Chevrolet up to a 25th place Stage 2 finish.
Final Stage Finish: 26th
Restarting 33rd, Weatherman would settle in for a yellow flag-filled final stage. Weatherman would work his way back up through the field surviving accident and restart after accident and restart. Weatherman would drive up to a 26th place finish while missing the carnage.
