Peace Officers Research Association of California Provides Primary Sponsorship of Kyle Weatherman for Alsco Uniforms 300

March 2nd, 2021

Sacramento, CA — The Peace Officers Research Association of California (PORAC) – California’s largest law enforcement association and the largest statewide law enforcement association in the country – is pleased to announce that we are teaming up with Wolfpack Racing as the primary sponsor of the #47 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Kyle Weatherman for Mike Harmon Racing (MHR) in the Alsco Uniforms 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 6th.

PORAC’s sponsorship of Weatherman for the Alsco Uniforms 300 marks their inaugural partnership with MHR for this event. In addition, this builds on last year’s show of support for law enforcement professionals at the Homestead-Miami Speedway.

“We are certainly grateful for the opportunity to partner with Kyle, Mike Harmon Racing, and the Wolfpack Racing team to showcase their support for peace officers throughout the country,” said Brian Marvel, President of PORAC. “As our nation works together to bridge the divide between America’s communities and the men and women in law enforcement who have sworn an oath to protect and serve them, we are hopeful that this collaboration will raise awareness of PORAC’s commitment to lead the way forward, one focused on mutual respect, gratitude, and understanding. We’re all rooting for Kyle and his team and look forward to celebrating with him in the winner’s circle this season!”

About PORAC

PORAC has a 67-year history of advocating for victims’ rights, higher training and recruitment standards. For example, body-worn cameras, more community-based policing, and the elimination of quotas — this name a few accomplishments. As one of the nation’s most forward-thinking and innovative law enforcement organizations, PORAC has spent decades working collaboratively with our elected leaders, public safety experts, and community organizations throughout the country. Ensuring officers have the training and resources they need to carry out their duties safely and effectively is their goal. The Peace Officers Research Association of California (PORAC) came about in 1953. PORAC is a professional federation of local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. PORAC represents over 77,000 public safety members and over 920 associations. In addition, this makes it the largest law enforcement organization in California and the largest statewide association in the nation.

“I proudly support our law enforcement professionals. I’m certainly thankful for organizations like PORAC who commit to advocating for peace officers throughout the country,” said Kyle Weatherman. “As someone who grew up around public safety professionals and first responders, I understand service. The sacrifice and dedication that these men and women bring to the job each and every day is incomparable. We, above all, owe these professionals a debt of gratitude.”

The sponsorship of the #47 Camaro driven by Kyle Weatherman will also be showcased on September 25th in the Alsco Uniforms 302 NASCAR Xfinity Series at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Follow the conversation on PORAC’s social media platforms by following #PORACRacing and #Weatherman47.
