Kyle Weatherman: Everything You Need To Know About Wolfpack’s Driver!
Kyle Weatherman – Taking the World by Storm!
Wolfpack Racing is certainly proud to be in a full-time sponsorship alliance with Mike Harmon Racing! For the 2021 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, Wolfpack is sponsoring the number 47 NASCAR Xfinity Series Chevrolet, driven by Kyle Weatherman. Today we are here to introduce you to Kyle!
Childhood and Early Racing
Born in Wentzville, Missouri, Kyle Weatherman was provided his first introduction to racing by his father and a family friend. At only eight years old, Kyle began racing go-karts. He began to ascend into the world of Bandoleros racing at 10 years old, moving up to Legends racing at twelve years old. At the time, this made him the youngest driver to be participating in the Legends circuit. Perfecting and improving on his craft, he spent the next three years in Legends. 2013 and 2014 were spent in the ARCA Series, and in 2015 he was in enough races to be a qualifier and a full-fledged driver for the ARCA series. Eventually, he was named Rookie of the Year, and won the Bill France Four Crown Award, as well as the Calypso Lemonade Short-Track Championship.
Racing Success
Kyle Weatherman has racked up a total of 35 Top-Ten Finishes, and 24 Top-Five finishes in the ARCA Series. A 2-time National Champion, Kyle firmly believes that helping others leaves a lasting positive impact. In October of 2017, Weatherman waw making his debut in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. His debut would be driving the No. 51 car for Rick Ware Racing at Martinsville Speedway. He also drove this car at Phoenix International Raceway.
A year later, StarCom Racing picked up Weatherman to drive the No. 99 car in the 2018 Overton’s 400 at Chicagoland Speedway. Although this was the first racing appearance he made for the team, he had been an employee of Starcom since April. Making six additional starts in the car, Kyle recorded a best finish of 26th in the No. 99 car at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. For Rick Ware Racing, Weatherman made his debut in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2019. He also made a Cup start for the team in June at the Michigan International Speedway. Later that same month, at Sonoma Raceway, Kyle qualified the No. 15 car with Premium Motorsports in place of Ross Chastain, who was currently competing at Gateway in the Truck race.
Where Is He Now
Weatherman is currently a competitor in the 2021 NASCAR Xfinity Series as a driver for Mike Harmon Racing. Kyle has the chance to be the first driver to run every race in the season for Mike Harmon Racing. With a sponsorship from Wolfpack Racing, he drives the #47 Chevrolet Camaro full-time for the 2021 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. In a statement on the 2021 racing season, Kyle said, “I’m so excited to drive for Mike Harmon Racing in 2021 with Wolfpack Racing on board,” Weatherman said. “I’m certainly blessed to have this opportunity, and I can’t wait to see what we can all do as a team. I’m working at Mike’s shop full time now during the week as a mechanic. This helps build relationships with the team and help get the cars to the racetrack. I’ve always looked up to Mike, and he told me last year around mid-season that there’s a lot of things he sees in me that he saw in himself, and I’m just really excited to work with Mike full time this year and build myself as a driver and as a person.”
